Context
The same body, twenty years later.
Sport and Peace is the sports body of the World Organization for Peace. In 2006 we built its first website, in Spanish, English and Italian, which is still live at sportsandpeace.com.
The challenge
A website from another era.
The 2006 site doesn’t adapt to phones and uses the technology of its time. The new one had to present the body’s areas of work, its history and its place within OMPP · WOFP, in Spanish and English.

What we are doing.
Brand
Development of the body’s brand. The dove-over-the-ball emblem, already on the 2006 site, stays at the center.
Architecture
Six pages: home, what we do, history, institutional, projects and contact.
Design and development
HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with no frameworks or dependencies. Self-hosted typefaces and images in several sizes.
Languages
Spanish as the main language and English on the same pages, signaled to search engines.
Automation
One program checks the site before upload and after it goes live; another builds a single-file copy of the home page for sharing.
Launch
A launch plan that includes archiving the 2006 site once the new one is live.
Current status
Project in progress.
The new website is not published yet. Until it is, sportsandpeace.com keeps showing the 2006 site.
